  Chapter 1

  “I think you’re in trouble, Adin…. Have a look!”

Adin turns to follow his uncle’s gaze and sees his wife Miranda holding a baby – cuddling it close and beaming a huge smile.

“Your wife’s looking awfully clucky there, dude. Think you had better get to it and fix her up soon. Can’t have your freedom forever.”

Adin shrugs. “I’ve been trying, Wes…. We’ve been sort of hoping this past year or so but nothing’s happened yet.”

  “Oh okay – sorry. I didn’t realise.”

“No – it’s cool. We’re not stressed about it or anything. Just not being careful and letting nature take its course…. Plus there’s no hurry to give up sleeping in and going out at night. Miranda’s not even 30 yet.”

“Oop – here she comes,” Wesley says, grimacing and rolling his eyes.

Miranda is still beaming as she approaches. “Look, Adin, isn’t he gorgeous?” she gushes, sidling close but not offering to give over the little yellow bundle she’s carrying.

“He’s got a funny nose,” Adin points out.

“Oh, he has not! He’s perfect.”

“And where’s his hair? What’s this bit of fluff?” Adin teases further and strokes the baby’s almost bald head.

“Oh stop it. It’ll grow. He’s only 3 months.” Miranda looks to Adin’s uncle. “He’s gorgeous, isn’t he, Wes?”

Wesley rubs his chin, frowning. “I don’t know…. That nose is a bit sort of broad for a face that size.”

“Oh it is not!” Miranda kisses the small nose in question. “They’re just being silly. Don’t even listen to them,” she tells the little fellow. She then looks to Adin more seriously. “We really should get going soon if we’re going to make the motel tonight…. Are you okay to drive?”

“Yeah, I’m fine. I stopped drinking a couple of hours ago…. Do you want to do the rounds now and we’ll get going?”

Adin and Miranda have travelled home for a nephew’s wedding the previous day. They’re at a flow-over party with some of their extended family. The baby belongs to Adin’s cousin. Miranda returns him to his mother – still beaming and gushing about how adorable he is.

Adin lets Miranda do the rounds on her own, knowing she will be a while.

Wesley is watching her with folded arms. “So, Adin, you don’t strike me as the jealous type – as a husband that is.”

“The jealous type? What do you mean – why?”

“Well – attractive wife with a friendly nature…. She must get a fair bit of attention from other men.”

“Yeah, I guess,” Adin answers, a twinge of that very thing making his face flush a little. “I’d like to think I handle it okay.”

  Wesley chuckles. “Someone in particular?”

Adin nods. “Just this new guy at her work. Carlton something or other. I’ve seen him a few times when I’ve picked Miranda up – just the way he watches her. He’s pretty obvious about it.”

“It’s the way she responds to men, though. Even here with some of our male relatives. I’ve been noticing how close she stands and the way she touches with small gestures – only with men.”

“Yeah, I know….” Adin huffs a breath. “There’s no point worrying about it, though. It’s just the way she is – always has been.”

“No – it’s good. It’s beautiful…. I was just wondering how you dealt with it is all – whether it bothers you much, or perhaps you like it…?”

“Like it?” Adin echoes. “How do you mean?”

“Well, it’s kind of sexy. So, if you’re not the jealous type it could be a bit of a turn on…. Always has been for me.”

  “For you! With…?”

“No. Hell no….” Wesley chuckles. “I mean with Chelsea of course. She and Miranda have this absolutely in common. It took me a while to figure out how to deal with it at first, but I can tell you it’s turned out to be quite a positive for us both over the years…. But then again, I’m not the jealous type.”

“No – well, I’m not either, I don’t think…. I haven’t even noticed it much until with this Carlton dude…. Most other guys are respectful of Miranda’s wedding rings…. I’ve even seen her catch him at it and have to clutch her blouse closed.”

“Oh yeah? Did you say anything?”

“No – I was outside in the car. The office has a full glass front and I saw him leaning over her desk, but he was gone before I could have confronted him, and Miranda handled it anyway.”

Wesley nods thoughtfully. “Did you ask her about it later?”

“Yeah, I mentioned it…. She just laughed it off.” Adin cocks an eyebrow at his uncle. “What do you mean it’s turned out to be a positive for you and Chelsea?”

Wesley returns a cool stare. “We swing, Adin. Have done for fifteen years. But that information is between you and me, right?”

Adin gulps. “Yeah sure…. You swing? Like with other…?”

“Yeah. Plus we each indulge a little on the side.”

  Adin frowns in question.

“Alone as opposed to only swinging together,” his uncle explains. “Chelsea has the occasional out-of-town boyfriend and I’m allowed freedom when she travels as well…. It works for us with our separate and very busy lives.”

  “Holy shit! Uncle Wes!”

Wesley laughs. “So, you can see why I don’t share this around the family.”

“Frigging hell. I just never would have imagined…. I mean, do people really do that?”

“Sure. It’s probably far more common than you think…. I can see three women and two men right now that I know to have had extramarital relations.”

“What here?” Adin gazes around at his extended family and friends. “Who?”

“Can’t say who…. Discretion and all.”

“So, with you, then?” Adin presses.

“Not exactly…. But yes, at a place I frequent.”

  “What kind of place?”

“Actually I own it,” Wesley says. “It’s a kind of health resort.”

  “For swinging?”

“Not only…. Also just plain naturalism and friends meeting to relax together.”

“So nudists, then?” Adin goes on, checking around to be sure no one is listening.

Wesley does a little nod and shrugs. “It’s optional, but yes, most indulge in sun bathing at least…. I have a secluded section of a lake and have built some nice facilities.”

“Oh yeah?” Adin asks, sceptical of his uncle’s grin.

“Hey – don’t knock it until you try it.”

Adin chuckles. “Um – can’t see that happening.”

“What – for you or Miranda?” Wesley winks. “She’d be a hit, that’s for sure and certain.”

  Adin feels his face flush.

“Yeah – see! That embarrassed you, Adin. It didn’t make you angry…. I suspected it wasn’t only our wives who have something in common.”

Adin shakes his head. “Yeah, but natu
ralism is different. It’s not like some dude trying to perv. It’s more open and – I don’t know – deliberate or consensual.”

“Sure! Absolutely!” Wesley agrees, waving to people leaving, and he places an arm around Adin’s shoulder. “I’m going to sneak away. It’s been great to see you again, Adin.”

“You too, Uncle Wes. I can’t believe what you just told me, though. Frigging hell.”

Wesley leans close to whisper, “Try and talk Miranda into it, okay? It’s predominately men at the resort – up to my age but some younger as well.”

Adin’s face and neck are on fire. “What the fuck? No way! There’s no way she would come and I don’t know that I’d want to…. You know… Whatever!”

“To show her to other men,” Wesley says evenly, and he leans close again. “I’d be the first man there ready to get a look at her…. I’d love to get a look at her tits – no doubt like that Carlton fellow wants to.”

  Adin glares at his uncle.

“Think about it, okay? Plenty of people do it and enjoy it….”

They’ve reached Wesley’s car. Adin is too stunned to think of what else to say.

His uncle holds up his hands. “Fine. I’m just saying it could be something you would like, but never mind….” He sits in his car and lowers the window. “Anyway, you’d better get moving fixing Miranda up with a baby before some other man beats you to it. She’s seriously ready.”

“Yeah, well, I’m not sure how ready I am – or capable, I should say.”

“Capable?” Wesley frowns in question. “In what way?”

“I’m not sure. I had a test done this week and am waiting for the result.” Adin huffs. “I’m thinking it’s probably me….. Lisa, my ex, never fell pregnant either, and we were unprotected for a good while before we split.”

“Ah, well, hopefully nothing permanent if there is a problem,” Wesley suggests warmly. “Childless is easy but kind of hollow.

“Oh right – so, you too?” Adin asks with interest. “That’s why you don’t have kids?”

“No, Chelsea and I just never got around to it…. Too busy and with other priorities.”

“Oh okay. And regrets now, huh?” Adin asks his uncle.

“Yeah, I don’t know about regrets…. I wouldn’t do anything differently and neither would Chelsea…. We probably like our lives and freedom too much.” Wesley looks beyond Adin. “I think your wife is waiting….” He gives Adin a smile. “And sorry about laying that naturalist resort line on you before…. It was good to confide in one of our family, but seriously – under your hat, please? If my big sister – your mother – ever found out I’d never be able to face her again.”

Adin chuckles and salutes as his uncle drives away – the thought of his mother knowing that Uncle Wesley owned a naturalist resort was actually unimaginable. Or for anyone in their family to find out for that matter. Being nude outdoors and Adin’s particularly conservative family are two things that do not belong on the same planet.

  Chapter 2

Miranda is beaming a huge smile when she sings out a goodbye to everyone from the open window of the car. She spins and waves out the back window as well, eventually settling in her seat when Adin turns onto the main road and leaves their childhood home-street behind.

Miranda is suddenly teary. “Wow, I didn’t realise how much I miss home.”

“Yeah, I know. It’s been ages. We should make the effort to visit more often.”

“Definitely!” Miranda huffs a breath and glares at Adin. “Anyway – you’re in trouble when we get to the motel.”

  “In trouble? Why?”

“Not that kind of trouble…. I mean the fun kind.”

Adin glances and smiles. “Oh yeah?”

“Uh huh…. I want it bad.”

“What – the baby made you horny?”

  Miranda frowns. “I don’t know…. Maybe…. Sort of.”

“Awesome!” Adin says, waggling his brows. “Good one, Joshy!”

Miranda giggles. “He’s just so beautiful. Sally let me hold him for ages too. I think she was happy to have a rest.”

Adin nods. He’s thinking about his fertility test, which he hasn’t mentioned to his wife. He lets the moment pass and has to negotiate some traffic for a bit before getting onto the freeway. Miranda has been gazing out her window for a while, in a world of her own.

“So, I saw Doctor Baine the other day, sweetheart,” Adin says, deciding to get it out there. “I’m getting tested to see if everything’s working?”

Miranda blushes a little. She glances. “Working? Do you mean…?”

Adin huffs a breath. “I’ve got a bad feeling I might be firing blanks…. What with last time as well – with you know….”

Miranda just nods, looking out her window and chewing a lip.

“I figured it was about time I got tested at least,” Adin goes on.

“Yeah, I suppose…. I mean that’s good, Adin. Thank you.”

  Miranda is smiling warmly.

Adin squeezes her hand. “Bit unsexy though, right?”

“It’s fine. I’m glad we’re going to try to find any problems….”

Adin nods, grinning at the way he’s about to change the subject. “Do you want to hear something freaky?”

  “What?”

“I’m not supposed to tell anyone, but you’re not just anyone,” Adin goes on.

Miranda frowns. “Not supposed to tell anyone what, exactly?”

  “Wes is a nudist.”

  Miranda’s mouth hangs open.

“Yep – a full on naturalist…. He owns a frigging resort for it.”

  “Oh shit! Seriously?”

“Yeah seriously. He invited us to go check it out.”

Miranda’s jaw drops further – her eyes widen.

“Don’t worry, I just laughed at that,” Adin tells his wife. “Like, as if…!”

“Wow. But do people really do that? I thought that went out with the free-love era.”

“Yeah, well, Wes is from back there – almost.”

“He’s not that old. He’s not even 50 yet, is he?”

Adin has to think about that. “I think he just turned 50…. He would have been a kid back in the 70s…. I think they still have places for nudists, though. There’s plenty of beaches for it.”

“And is this at a beach?” Miranda asks curiously. “Wes owns lots of beachfront property, doesn’t he?”

“Yeah he does, but he said this is on a lake somewhere. I didn’t ask where exactly.” Adin glances from the road. “Are you interested?”

  “No! Oh my god, Adin!”

Adin chuckles. “Sorry, but you’d look good with everything bouncing around in the sun.”

Miranda glares but giggles. She glances at his lap. “So would Mr Longfellow!”

Adin laughs. Mr Longfellow is a common pet name for his penis, which is particularly long.

“Anyway, it’s hardly a surprise now that I think about it…. Wes is kind of a closed book. It makes sense that he would be into something like that.”

“Yeah, that and more, baby. But this is strictly off the record, right? I mean, Wes told me in confidence and absolutely does not want it getting around.”

“Doesn’t want what getting around, Adin? What else?”

“That they’re swingers. That he and Chelsea have been in an open marriage for 15 years…. They have other partners and shit.”

“Oh. Well, that really does make sense,” Miranda says mildly. “Chelsea once told me something that makes this whole thing make sense…. She was half drunk on wine one night and blabbed about going to one of the nude beaches in France where people fuck in public.”

“Ah right. And she spends a lot of time over there too,” Adin adds calculatingly. “I bet that’s where it all started with them. Yeah, that culture is still current over there, isn’t it?”

  Miranda yawns. “So I’ve read….”

“Are you getting tired, baby? We’re nearly there.” />
“I know…. How about we just crash for a few hours then share the driving overnight? It would be good to have Sunday at home.”

“Yeah? Cool – I could clean the car and give it a service.”

“Okay.” Miranda says, yawning again and nodding. She smiles. “Plus we could do it in the daytime in our own bed.”

  Adin glares from the road.

“Oh yeah…. I’m still horny from my baby time…. You’re not getting out of it that easily just doing stupid fertility tests. I still want Mr Longfellow.”

  Chapter 3

The motel has a comfy bed and offers four hours’ sleep. Adin and Miranda are back on the road by midnight and arrive home at 6 in the morning. They have breakfast then go to bed. A little after midday, Miranda works the narrow tapered head of her husband’s erection into herself from behind. She likes this position especially because it allows her to control depth until she adjusts to Adin’s full ten inches. She always loves every inch of the feeling of being penetrated like this, but needs to go slow.

“Uh huh – like that…” she utters back over her shoulder into a kiss. “Uhh..hhh..hh that’s nice.”

“Baby, you’re so wet already. What have you been dreaming about?”

  “Mmm – nothing – just this….”

Miranda holds her husband’s hip as he rides her to an orgasm working her clit with his strong fingers. She’s already coming down from her peak when he ejaculates, and she can’t help thinking that he could actually be infertile – that he’s shooting blanks, as he put it. Then in the afterglow of their love making, Miranda can’t help blushing at the truth about her dream and wetness – the fantasy idea of the new man at work who has been overtly checking her out at every opportunity.

Miranda comes back inside from hanging washing mid-afternoon to find a text from her best girlfriend.

Sienna: Monday night drinks at The Boardwalk. No excuses.

The Boardwalk is a beachside bar across town. It’s a regular spot for after work drinks with the girls. Sienna works with Miranda at the reception desk of an Estate Agency and there are two other women agents who often join in when there’s a girls’ night out.
